Weekly Rehearsals

Rehearsals are held on Tuesday evenings during school terms.

Time: 7:30pm to 10:00pm with a break for supper.

BYO music stand, tuner and pencil to all rehearsals.

Term Dates 2010

Term 1 - Tuesday February 2nd to March 23rd.

Term 2 - Tuesday April 13th to June 22nd.

Term 3 - Tuesday July 13th to September 14th.

Term 4 - Tuesday October 5th to December 7th.

Additional Rehearsals

Additional split rehearsals for winds/strings are held as necessary.

One or two Saturday or Sunday afternoon rehearsals are held at the concert venue at least two weeks before a major concert.

Attendance

A commitment is needed from you to attend 80% of rehearsals and to play in all performances.  If you cannot attend a rehearsal, please contact us.

Performances

Remember that the part you play in the orchestra is integral to the planned performance. If you find that you cannot commit to a concert please let us know early in the rehearsal schedule and/or find a replacement.

Standard

AMEB Grade 6-7 or equivalent at least. Good sight reading ability assumed and a willingness to practise between rehearsals.
